Bike MS April 20 2024 get involved

Bike MS April 20 2024 get involved In my late 20s I rode in the MS-150 it was a ride to raise awareness and funds for multiple sclerosis. Truth is as much as it was for a good cause the ride was about me I was challenging myself to see if I could make it. For the last couple of years I have been supporting Romp To Cure MS Team. I have many friends who suffer from multiple sclerosis. In April 20, 2024 I will do more than support the team I am going to ride. The first time I rode it was about me now I'm writing for others who can't. Link to donate https://events.nationalmssociety.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.participant&participantID=386613 This is my personal MS journey. I feel compelled to share with MS patients and caretakers. The goal is to show others how a positive outlook, practical advice, life hacks, diet, meditation, exercise, motivation, inspiration, self-advocatingā€¦ will keep you at your physical, and mental Best. Does HERV-W Cause Multiple Sclerosis? (Human Endogenous Retroviruses Explained by Neurologist)

Human endogenous retroviruses (HERVs) are ancient retroviruses which have incorporated into the human genome. There is a surprising link between one HERV (HERV-W) and MS, and some experts have hypothesized that antiretrovirals could treat MS. But what is the evidence? This study explains HERVs, the link to MS, and antiretroviral trials. Is MS the loneliest disease or am I losing my mind?? #ms #multiplesclerosis #chronicillness

My MS makes me feel alone in a group of friends. Is this normal? More about the MSBS team: https://events.nationalmssociety.org/index.cfm?fuseaction=donorDrive.team&teamID=56588 Here are some resources that I found regarding this topic: Yes, MS can be a lonely disease. While everyone's experience is unique, many people with MS face challenges that can lead to feelings of isolation. These challenges might include: Ā  Physical limitations: Difficulty walking, talking, or performing other daily activities can make it harder to connect with friends and family. Ā  Cognitive changes: Memory problems, difficulty concentrating, and mood swings can affect relationships and social interactions. Visible symptoms: Changes in appearance or mobility can lead to stigma and discrimination. Invisible symptoms: Fatigue, pain, and other symptoms that aren't always visible can be difficult for others to understand. Ā  It's important to remember that you're not alone. Many people with MS find support and connection through online communities, support groups, and therapy. There are also resources available to help manage the emotional challenges that come with MS. Ā  If you're feeling lonely or isolated, consider reaching out to a support group or mental health professional. They can provide guidance and help you connect with others who understand your experiences. Doctor Reverses His Own MS Diagnosis | Dr. Sam Gartland

A physician went from collapsing and unable to walk at one point to remarkably reversing multiple sclerosis. Dr. Sam Gartland chose not to rely exclusively on treatments that would just slow the progression of the disease. Instead, he made changes to the food he was eating and the way he was living his life. The combination stopped the MS in its tracks and completely restored his health. He joins ā€œThe Weight Loss Championā€ Chuck Carroll on The Exam Room Podcast to share his journey, his new way of eating, and the decades-old research that set him on this journey. He now devotes his career to helping others with MS find their way back to health. Dr. Gartland will be speaking at the Nutrition in Healthcare Conference in Melbourne, Australia, Feb. 17-19, 2023. PODCAST - Prof Bart - An incredible insight into what you should expect from your MS Neurologist

In this simply fascinating interview into how MS care ought to be done (IMHO) I talk with Prof Bart van Wijmeerch who practices in Belgium. He has a very enlightened view on how to treat patients. I just loved talking to him and hearing how he goes about everything. You are v lucky to be one of his patients. We also cover the use of Evoked Potentials to aid in predicting the course of our MS and how these form part of the diagnostic and managing process. Read what the MS Trust says about Evoked Potentials: https://mstrust.org.uk/a-z/evoked-potentials#:~:text=As%20damage%20to%20the%20nerves,you%20notice%20any%20clinical%20symptoms. This is a paper about EPs - https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2077734/ and it concludes: 'These results suggest that evoked potential is a good marker of the severity of nervous damage in multiple sclerosis and may have a predictive value regarding the evolution of disability.'
