Thankful for Every Step

I never imagined it would be difficult to walk.

I never imagined how thankful I would be just to be able to walk.

Multiple sclerosis can be brutally hard. Some days, it takes things from you that you never thought to be grateful for, until they're no longer guaranteed.

But here's what I've learned: if you want to live your best life with this disease,

You have to become harder. Not bitter. Harder.

 Control your thoughts

 Control your diet

 Control your exercise

 Control your supplements

The things you can control matter more, not less, once you're handed a diagnosis like this.

This isn't the end; it's the new beginning of living every single day on purpose rather than on autopilot.

If you're newly diagnosed and scared,

I see you.

I've been there.

But I promise you, there's a version of you on the other side of this that's more disciplined, more grateful, and more alive than the version that never had to think twice about walking.
